KCA Members--- The 2025 Specialty is coming… Our 2025 National Keeshond Specialty week will be held May 5-11, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in beautiful, dog friendly Asheville, North Carolina. Our hosting committee this year is a group of Keeshond lovers who are dedicated to organizing a special week of Keeshond competition, learning, socializing and fun. Your help is needed! The costs associated with the National Specialty week are large. Entries will cover only a small portion of the money committed to conduct our annual event. Ballrooms, grooming areas, and hospitality space, need to be rented (along with audio/projecting equipment). Judges must be paid, housed, fed and transported. A show secretary or superintendent must be hired to manage the entries and catalog. Trophies, rosettes and ribbons are needed for all the events. The hospitality room has to be stocked throughout the week. Decorations must be purchased or made to make our event lively, interesting and beautiful. We need funds to make our event memorable, special and worthy of celebrating all the beautiful Keeshonden from around the country who will be in attendance. You will soon be contacted by members of our Fundraising Committee and asked for your support. There are several ways in which you can be helpful. In addition to our onsite fund raising via raffles and auctions, we are kicking off the year now with our online fundraising program. Our Spin-To-Win, Flash Auction will begin in July 2024. We will conduct a 32-Auction in early spring 2025. Below is the calendar for the first three months of our Spin-To-Win events. You can see in advance the dates and the prizes to be won. You will need to join the Facebook Group to participate. You can have some great fun trying to win some wonderful prizes while helping to raise funds for our Specialty.
